Sodium Hydroxide, also known as lye, is used in the manufacturing of handmade soaps.
Please note that when soaps are well-formulated, there is no lye left in soaps after saponification is complete (average 24 - 48 hours).
Grest quality, great price!
I am not so keen on these flakes; they take longer to dissolve and tend to stick to the side of my container.
They are also awkward to weigh out as they clump together easily.
Hi,
You need to stir them until they dissolve. If you leave them alone, after mixing with water, they will stick to the bottom of your bowl. Alternatively you may the Sodium Hydroxide Pearls.
I made my first soponified soaps ever still waiting for them to cure in a week or two looking all great..
My soap was so good and considering I'm a beginner,
this was so easy to use.
I was so impressed with this product, it's more affordable than our usual brand so I was abit weary but it performed much better than the one we usually use.
